The Glowing NoiseMaker - On the demystification of triode noise

 Burkhard makes the observation that the audio designer, when it comes to noise performance of his triodes, often has incomplete, contradicting or even missing information available. He sets out to clarify the situation and provides methods and procedures to measure and calculate useful noise performance data. He also appeals to tube manufacturers to provide more consistent and clear noise information for their products. The article closes with some very useful rule-of-thumb noise evaluation approaches.
